NESCBWI 2016 challenge - in stages

Adding second layer to background here. (pale sage pencil is getting a workout.)
I'm working on kraft paper (similar weight wise to grocery bag, but with out those pesky fold marks)

Better,
... not quite done yet.
Most of the paper is covered thickly at this point.
The exceptions being - backgrounds of the photos top left, and a bit of the elephant... the brown showing through complements the gray, helps create a great elephant skin color.

This piece will be for an upcoming NESCBWI conference challenge involving Jules Verne's "Around the World in Eighty Days"
