Happy Birthday to my beautiful niece… a gymnast who dreams of dogs. This is one of the preliminary sketches. I tend to work fast, with soft lead pencils.. using tracing paper to line up characters (the dog was sketched out in my book a while back, I knew he would eventually find a friend)
